I ran an exsperiment during the first half. I took my 20-year old Nikon D2h digial camera off the shelf and fired it up. I used it for about 10 years and have not used it in about 10 years. It was pretty much obsolete compared with the Canon counterpart the day it was released, primarily for its relatively poor performance in low light. It also has a very low pixel count. But photos in daylight were always fine. Today's results are surprizingly good, in my opinion. Plus modern photogarphy software certainly helps. Hard to believe it works after sitting for ten years. The small battery that runs the clock is still working.
