I brought three different cameras with three different lenses. The lenses were basically three different versions of the same lens: 80-200 f2.8, 70-200 f2.8 and the latest Nikon 70-200 f2.8. I had been having focusing problems with the first two so I thought I would try them on different cameras before sending them to Nikon for the expensive repairs. Or, I could just throw the old ones away and not throw good money after bad money. Always a tough decision.

So, for the first match I used the old 80-200 lens with a relatively new Nikon D810. A nice camera but not for sports. These photos stink. (Yes, the lens is a mess.)

Let me state that differently. It was difficult getting usable shots.
