Gooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaal!!!!!!!!!!!
A little photography note. See that shadow
behind #15? That shadow is my enemy. As a result of the sun I stood at mid field
during the first half and in the end zone the second half. Second half photos
should be nicer because the players are directly facing me with the sun directly
behind me. Love afternoon games but a 1:00 pm central time start puts the sun
directly in the middle of the sky. In this photo you may notice that the left
side of the player's face is illuminated by the right side has the enemy shadow.
Take a look at the shadows on the players faces during the introduction. I could
have used an electronic flash for those shots.
This photo initially looks ok. But notice the
shadows in the players eyes. This is why photographers photographing a wedding
in daylight will ALWAYS use an electronic flash. It is also why the NFL always
has the lights on. British soccer is cheap. The shadows are horrible during
Premier League games. Someday, with more advertising dollars, they will turn on
the lights at noon.
