I was asleep and missed the goal.

This goal is a "bend it like Beckham" goal.

The call is made by the assistant on the sidelines. It was certainly the proper call. It is just my experience that it is very rare for the A/R to actually make it. This call is missed most of the time. Heck, in the youth games many A/R's are afraid to make offside calls, let alone this call.
