Seeing this photograph caused me to sit back and reflect on the number of fantastic photo ops. these two athletes have given me over the past few years. (And Mr. Lowery still has a year left.)

This award was for scholar/athlete of the year. Life is not fair. These students are not only top athletes they are also the top students. (To quote the famous American philosopher Gomer Pyle "shazzam.")

Mark Cox and Kelli Jackson received the awards for Athlete of the Year.

A rather appropriate photo for my last shot of the year. One thing most of you don't know about me is that every time I come to UTD I end up scratching my head and thinking "these kids are a bunch of winners."
