This is another example of OSU being unlucky. This may have been a goal. (But
please, the photograph is inconclusive. You need to be standing right on the
sideline to be able to make the call.) In any event, a fraction of an inch lower
and this shot slides under the top bar.
This photograph also illustrates a Doug pet peeve with either Adidas or the
NCAA. Why are Division 1 soccer programs using such an ugly soccer ball? Compare
the color of the soccer ball with the color of the keeper's shoes. Note how
bright the black and white color is on the shoes. Yet, a gray soccer ball is
used. Or at least it looks gray under the lights. SMU uses the same ball.
YUCK!!!!! (Hey, when you take the time that I take to photograph you want
everything to look good.) A bright and shiny white and black ball would be much
easier to see. Wonder if somebody complained that white balls put off too much
glare?
I have become a big fan of Aggieland. This is pretty cool. (Yes, extremely
corny, but very cool.) The soccer team is playing Oklahoma State and the Aggies
are all Singing "beat Texas."
