As the game started at 6:30 pm, I only took shots during the first half.

This is what I absolutely hate about North Texas soccer. The defender leads with her shoulder, never making a play on the ball and it is not considered a foul. The world laughs at N. Texas referees. As a result, skill oftentimes takes a back seat to size and aggressiveness. The excuse is somehow that the shoulder to shoulder contact is incidental to making a play on the ball.
