I include this photograph to demonstrate the difficulty a
photographer has with the Plano West uniforms. They pose some tricky issues for
a photographer: Black base color with fluorescent numbers. Plus, the helmet, shirt,
pants and socks are the same color so there is no contrast between those items.
(Note the East player has different colors in the helmet, shirt, belt, pants, and
socks.) Pretty tough stuff. Notice
how well the East uniform picks up the light. The West uniform is a solid
shadow. (That may have been the difference in the game.)
The solid black color scheme makes the two players on the left almost appear
to be connected at the hip.
This shot is woefully overexposed. I think I will simply need to cut off the
flash when using my zoom lens at close range.
Since I am on the subject, notice how the slight trim on the quarterback's
right sleeve breaks up the black. So, add some color to the belts and add a
stripe or emblem on the socks and these photos look much better. (Put a stripe
on the pants and I'm in photo heaven.)
