Since I recently bought some new equipment that I
have not been terribly impressed with, I went to two soccer games to try my new
equipment and compare it with my old equipment. I used the old stuff for this
game. The old stuff? A manual focus Nikon F3 (circa 1980) a Nikon 300mm f2.8
lens, and a TC-14b 1.4 teleconverter making the the effective length of the lens
420mm. While old stuff, the lens is one of the finest lenses ever made by any
manufacturer.
It was not the fault of the camera or the lens that the
player's head was cut off.
Nice shot.
